Diagnostic Imaging

Whitfield Regional Hospital's Diagnostic Imaging Department in Demopolis has recently enhanced its facilities with the introduction of the Optima MR450w MRI machine. This state-of-the-art equipment is designed to improve patient comfort and provide superior image quality. The machine features a 70 cm wide bore and a 50 cm field of view, accommodating a broader range of patients. Its fast, accurate, and reproducible scans empower physicians with reliable diagnostic tools. Additionally, the Silent Scan technology by GE minimizes noise, reducing patient anxiety during procedures. The department now also supports MRAs and kidney studies, expanding its diagnostic capabilities. Over the past five years, the department has been updated with advanced technology, making it one of the most modern facilities in West Alabama, serving the Black Belt region extensively.
