Lapan Robotics Club

The Lapan Robotics Club, launched in 2015, gives students a hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of STEM by building, programming, and operating robots. In our "maker space," students learn to apply principles of physics, chemistry, and engineering while developing skills with basic shop tools. Founded by a Wakefield alumnus and engineer from Raytheon, and supported by local engineers and University of Arizona students, the program culminates in an exciting annual battle-bot competition, where students compete with robots they've designed and built. It’s a fun, project-based way to spark interest in engineering and prepare students for future careers in STEM.
