Casa de la Luz follows Medicare guidelines for determining your eligibility for hospice services.

To be eligible for hospice care, two physicians (usually, your physician and the hospice’s staff physician) agree that given the nature and progression of your illness, you may have a life expectancy of six months or less. If you have Medicare (Part A), you are provided full hospice coverage under the Medicare Hospice Benefit. Many private insurance companies also contract with hospice providers. Hospice services are provided regardless of age, gender, diagnosis, race, or religion.
